KRC Podcast
With over 100 million global podcast listeners, it’s clear that podcasts are quickly becoming one of the top media formats. Therefore, we here at the Kern River Conservancy (KRC) decided there was no better way to keep in touch with all of you and share some great information. On The Conservationist (our podcast), host and KRC founder Gary Ananian will discuss important conservation issues. Topics will include responsible and irresponsible recreation, impacts of ecotourism, policy and legislature, and general outdoor news. Basically, just all things outdoors; the good, the bad, the messy, and the beautiful. If there’s one thing all of us have in common, it’s a great love of the outdoors. Join us in the effort to protect our public lands.
Check out our first episode where we have an in-depth discussion with Neil Radimaker about the saga of Miracle Hot Springs. Neil is an investigative journalist, producer, cinematographer, multimedia consultant, and the husband of a goddess. Neil will discuss a brief history of Miracle Hot Springs and the ongoing culture and life of being a visitor and local resident of the hot springs. We discuss the events leading up to the death and destruction of Miracle and what the future could look like for this historical place.
It is such an interesting topic with so much to discuss that we had to split it into two parts. So, make sure to check back for part two where we will be chatting with Hal Chiprin of the Hot Springs Angels. Hal will discuss the history of his organization, all the work that went on at Miracle Hot Springs, and what the future holds for those springs.
